The invention concerns a jewel serving as clasp designed, combined with a metal, leather, fabric bracelet or made of any other material, for producing bracelets and necklaces or any other piece of jewellery or leatherwork. The jewel (1) comprises a combination of a first fixing means (7) receiving the first end of a band (2) including a loop (19) adapted on a fixed stem (18) and held in place by means of a mobile part (15), the second end (24) of said band (2) comprising slots (23) is then adjusted on a pin (22) of second adapting means (8) and held in place via a mobile part (16), the two fixing (7) and adapting (8) means being located on either side of a lower part (4) provided with an articulation (5) linking it to the lower part (6). Said jewel (1) serving as an easy-to-use clasp, associated with an interchangeable band (2) of metal, leather, fabric or any other material for making in particular bracelets, necklaces or the like, enables women to match their jewels with their dresses.
