PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small portable terminal which has a printer function and a scanner function and which can be easily carried. SOLUTION: A printer part 6 is housed in a casing 2 that can be carried. A paper feeding port 7 taking-in a printing medium printed by a printer part 6, a paper discharge part 8 discharging the printed medium and a paper transportation line 15 to the paper discharge port 8 from the paper feeding port 7 through the printer part 6 are installed. And also, a scanner part 10 is provided. An insertion port 11 into which a reading medium whose picture is read by the scanner part 10 is inserted, a discharge part 12 for discharging the reading medium and a reading transportation line 16 connected to the discharge port 12 from the insertion port 11 through the scanner part 10 are also installed. Since the printer part 6 and the scanner part 10 are housed in the casing 2 that can be carried, the printer function and the scanner function can easily be carried, and taking-in of a character and picture and subsequent printing are performed by a portable device.
