PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems, such as an increase of a buffer memory quantity, a significant time lag from the segments reproduced from the memory when the segments currently readed from a CD are displayed and the complication of processing flow if P-TIME is directly used in dealing with the optical disk reproducing device of CDs, etc., of a system to previously read data and to record the data into the buffer memory in order to prevent the sound skip, etc., by the impact against a player and to reproduce and output the data. SOLUTION: The audio data 8 read out of the CD 1 is recorded in the memory 12 for audio buffer and aural signal output 13 is obtained by reproduction therefrom. On the other hand, the sub-code data 7 is recorded in a data table memory 16 for display indicating the correspondence of the second unit of P-TIME and A-TIME and the time accumulated in the buffer memory 12 is subtracted. The P-TIME corresponding to the A-TIME is determined from the memory 16 and is displayed on a display unit 20.
