First and second pistons 13 and 14 are fitted slidably and axially to the cylinder bodies 9 and 10 respectively and first and second connecting rods 15 and 16, which connect the pistons 13 and 14 and the crankshaft 3 in interlocking relation with each other respectively. The small end section 20 of the first connecting rod 15 is pivotally supported on the first piston 13, and the large end section 22 is pivotally supported on the crankshaft 3. The small end section 25 of the second connecting rod 16 is pivotally supported on the second piston 14, and the large end section 27 is pivotally supported the midway of the first connecting rod 15 in its longitudinal direction.
