PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a show case cooling device capable of saving energy without making a large-sized and complex controlling system. SOLUTION: A load of a show case is attained through an enthalpy in a shop composed of a shop temperature and a shop humidity in reference to the fact that the load of the show case is influenced not only by a shop temperature but also by a shop humidity. Then, a target suction pressure for a compressor 22 is set in response to this calculated shop enthalpy and the number of rotation of the compressor 22 is calculated in reference to this target suction pressure and an actual suction pressure. With such an arrangement as above, the compressor 22 can be set to a suitable number of rotation without collecting special operation data of the show case.
