A dip coated ferritic stainless steel sheet has the following characteristics:- a) a steel composition by weight of 10.5 - 20 % Cr, 0 - 0.6 % Al, 0.003 - 0.06 % C, 0.003 - 0.02 % N, 0 - 0.6 % Si, 0 - 0.6 % Mn and 0 - 0.002 % S, with the balance being Fe and impurities inherent from the steelmaking operation; b) a metal coating produced by dipping in a bath of molten metal containing notably aluminium and at least one rare earth element: cerium, lanthanum, praseodymium, neodymium, mischmetal and yttrium. Independent claims are included for the utilisation of this steel sheet, a method for the fabrication of the sheet and the sheet steel thus produced. |
