<p>A magnetic recording and reproducing device, wherein, in order to move a pinch arm with a pinch roller between two positions, one where a magnetic tape is loaded and the other where the magnetic tape is unloaded, a two-joint link mechanism is used to make a distance between a link engagement point and a pinch arm rotating center generally equal to a distance between the pinch arm rotating center and a pinch roller shaft, a pinch press-fitting spring producing a pressing force is formed of a compressive spring and disposed in the link mechanism so as to provide a spring force to the engaged point of the pinch arm of the link mechanism and, in the loaded state, all engaged points of the link mechanism are arranged generally in straight line with each other.</p> |
