<p>A process for the production of optically active β-amino alcohols of the general formula (II) which comprises treating an enantiomeric mixture of an α-aminoketone of the general formula (I) or a salt thereof with at least one microorganism selected from the group consisting of those belonging to the genus Morganella and so on to form a β-amino alcohol having a desired optical activity in a high yield with high selectivity.</p> |
