<p>The invention discloses a multiple-nozzle ink-jet head using a piezoelectric element and a method of manufacturing thereof. A head (1) comprises a nozzle material (10) forming a plurality of nozzles (12), a pressure chamber wall (14) forming a plurality of pressure chambers (15), a vibrator (18), and a plurality of piezoelements (19). The pressure chambers each include a piezoelectric actuator for applying pressure to eject ink through the nozzles. To increase the rigidity of the pressure chamber wall, high-rigidity coating materials (23, 25) are applied either to the inside of the pressure chamber wall or to that part of the vibrator that touches the pressure chamber wall.</p> |
