Removal of faulty zones which can arise in HTSL-cable manufactured by the insertion of HTSL-power in an Ag-tube prior to melting in an oxygen gas-stream and drawing, is based on the utilizing a pressure-rich shock-wave (6) of an ignited explosive material to compress cavities (4) and Josephson contacts (3) to a uniform fault-free Perovskite (calcium titanate) ceramic and the cable is subsequently generally super-conducting.
