The method for children to learn to read involves the use of reading cards, rectangular in shape and easy for children to hand and with extended durability. Each card (1) has a white section (2), on which words are printed in black letters. The surround (3) of the card with each core has its own color, so that it is easy to view. The method comprises twelve reading cores, each of which has it own number of raeding cards. An administration card (6) is provided, on which can be noted which cards have been read.
