The invention relates to an electromechanical drive for an injection moulding machine. According to the invention, in order to meet the demands of a rapid opening and closing of the mould and a high locking pressure particularly well, the kinematic chain comprises a first drive element (13), a second drive element (17) and a third drive element (26), whereby the first drive element (13), which is the closest of the three drive units (13, 17, 26) in the kinematic chain to the electric motor (12), is connected to the second drive element (17), by means of a first screw joint (14) and the second drive element (17) is connected to the third drive element (26), which is the nearest of the three drive elements (13, 17, 26) in the kinematic chain to the mould clamping plate (10), by means of a second screw joint (15). Furthermore, the ratio of the one screw joint (15) is smaller than that of the other screw joint (14). In order to displace the mould clamping plate (10), the both drive elements (13, 17), coupled by means of the screw joint (14) with the largest ratio, may be moved relative to each other and for the clamping of the mould clamping plate (10) the both drive elements (17, 26), coupled by means of the screw joint (15) with the smallest ratio may be moved relative to each other. |
