<p>The present invention provides techniques for controlling access to Web content and television content information. According to an embodiment of the present invention, techniques are disclosed for exercising control over content information, including television and Web content, accessed via a system, such as an Internet-enabled television system. According to an embodiment, the present invention determines a plurality of user modes associated with the system and privileges associated with the plurality of user modes. The present invention then determines if access to TV content is permitted (200) or access to Web content is permitted (202) based on privileges associated with the plurality of user modes, such that the permitted content includes content which can be accessed in any user mode from the plurality of user modes.</p> |
