Discs for producing an armature core which can be found in prior art have projections which are located between two stator gaps. A special stacking of the discs is required. An inventive disc (9) has at least one alignment hole in a projection (24) that is situated in a stator gap (11). The degree of effectiveness of an electric machine which uses an armature core (8) consisting of discs (9) for the stator (4) or rotor (7) is not affected.
