Ramp-shaped contour for locking device e.g. of gear change

The locking device (1) includes a retaining bolt with a locating sphere (2) on one end and a compression spring on the other. The spring drives the bolt into a groove (3) in a locating block (4), and positions the bolt onto two siting points (5) located on a turn on a curved ramp contour (6). The locating block is of a formed construction and has a symmetrical "M"-shaped cross-section, with rounded corners having a radius of curvature smaller than that of the locating sphere. The siting points are at an angle of 45 deg. +/- 10 deg. to the centre of the locating block.
