The vacuum cleaner attachment has a cleaning fluid application device and a suction channel with a suction mouth for extracting a mixture of cleaning fluid and air from the cleaned surface. A phase separation device (70) is inserted in the suction channel in front of the vacuum cleaner, using centrifugal force for removal of the cleaning fluid.
