The method involves storing and/or delivering water in the form of a mixture with another fuel constituent that lowers the freezing point relative to that of water. The second fuel constituent is methanol and the mixture is the anode output gas of the fuel cell (10). The mixture of water and another constituent is added to the fuel mixture by injection upstream of the condenser (12).
