<p>A catalyst for reforming which has a carrier and, carried thereon, at least one selected from a ruthenium component and a zirconium component, characterized in that the catalyst contains chlorine atom in an amount of o.1 wt % or less, and a method for producing the catalyst; and a catalyst for reforming which is produced by a method comprising impregnating a carrier with a metal component comprising at least one selected from a ruthenium component and a zirconium component, and then drying the resulting catalyst particles while moving them continuously or intermittently, and the method employed in the production. The catalyst contains residual chlorine only in an amount of a trace and has an active component carried uniformly on a carrier, and thus does not cause the corrosion of surrounding devices nor the reduction of cell characteristics, exhibits significantly excellent activity per the amount of ruthenium and can keep such excellent activity even at a high temperature during reaction.</p> |
