Thermoplastic molding material based on syndiotactic polystyrene, inorganic filler, compatibilizer and other optional components also contains 1-15 wt.% thermoplastic elastomer based on copolymers of vinylaromatic monomers, dienes and optionally 1,1-diphenylethylene Thermoplastic molding materials (I) containing: (A) 5-95 wt.% vinylaromatic polymer with a syndiotactic structure; (B) 2-50 wt.% inorganic filler; (C) 1-15 wt.% thermoplastic elastomer based on copolymers of vinylaromatic monomers, dienes and optionally 1,1-diphenylethylene; (D) 1-10 wt.% compatibilizer; and optionally (E) 1-15 wt.% rubber-elastic, styrene-diene block copolymer particles (optionally partly or completely hydrogenated); and optionally (F) additives. An independent claim is also included for fibres, film and molded products obtained from (I).
