The strut part (2) of the reinforcing device has two threaded ends (5, 6), the first end (5) being coupled to the first support device (3) releasably secured to the bodywork (1). The second support device (4) forms a fastener tab (16) with a hole (17) in it, through which the second end (6) of the strut is passed. A tensioning part can be coupled to the second end of the strut. When under tension, the strut is supported against the fastener tab.
