A system comprises a plurality of individual-control devices (51 to 53) for individually controlling elevators, a plurality of landing control devices (4 to 6n) for controlling landing devices provided on each floor and including landing call buttons (8 to 9n), a group-control device (10) for carrying out assignment of the elevators based on landing information transmitted from the landing control devices, communication control devices (61 to 63) having independent power sources (45 to 47) connected to the individual-control devices, the landing control devices and the group-control device provided for the respective individual-control devices to perform data communication. Thus, a group-control system for elevators in which communication paths (31) of the communication control device and the group-control device are connected by bus is constituted. Even if an individual-control device breaks down, communication between the landing control device and the group-control device is effective, and therefore the landing call buttons are not required to be connected to the landing control devices for backup, thereby simplifying the connection constitution.
