A method and an apparatus for controlling system parameters, particularly in fuel injection systems are described. The method is characterized in that first system parameters, in particular voltages across piezoelectric elements, are modified by modification means corresponding to predefined target values. The target values are calculated by calculation means in accordance with both the desired action of each controlled element, in particular any desired extension of each piezoelectric element, as well as with further system parameters on which the target values depend. The time required to finish the modification of the first system parameters varies for homogenous actions corresponding to the dependence of the target values on the further system parameters. Resulting time differences are taken into account and compensated for by correction means. The apparatus is characterized by corresponding modification, calculation and correction means. <IMAGE> |
