The invention relates to a method for producing a subassembly of an electric machine, consisting in the following steps: at least one part of the coil of a rotor or a stator of an electric machine is manufactured; the at least one part of the coil is placed in a casting mould whose hollow shape reproduces at least one part of the subassembly, the mould is filled with soft iron particles having a thermoplastic, synthetic coating; the filled mould undergoes heat treatment until the plastic coating of the soft iron particles softens; the filled mould is left to cool; the subassembly is removed from the mould.
