Water entrained with the wet ash from the wet ash removal installation is removed using an air curtain, this removal of water taking place in the removal installation. An independent claim is also included for the dewatering apparatus, comprising a perforated angled tube (3) located above an inclined section (2) of the scraper belt (1) and connected to a compressed air source.
