<p>A treating agent for cloths for imparting water repellency, characterized by comprising an organic solvent or water and a combination of two or more silicone compounds dissolved in the solvent or dispersed in the water; a cloth for imparting water repellency; and a material for imparting long-lasting water-repellency and gloss, characterized by having a water-repellent nonwoven fabric layer comprising hydrophilic fibers and hydrophobic fibers in a weight ratio of from 3/7 to 7/3 and a water-repellent ingredient infiltrated into spaces among these fibers or having a water-repellent nonwoven fabric layer comprising hydrophobic fibers and a water-repellent ingredient and a surfactant both infiltrated into spaces among the fibers. The material, when used to merely wipe an automotive body after water washing, can have a high waxing effect and impart long-lasting water repellency and gloss thereto.</p> |
