A rubber vibration insulator which has high damping properties effective in insulating or mitigating the vibration transferred from a vibration source, e.g., a motor vehicle, interior material, building material, domestic electrical appliance, etc. The insulator is characterized by comprising an acrylonitrile/butadiene rubber as the matrix and, incorporated into the matrix, 2-[2'-hydroxy-3'-(3 ,4 ,5 ,6 -tetrahydrophthalimidomethyl)-5'-methylphenyl]benzotriazole as an active ingredient for increasing the dipole moment in the matrix.
