<p>Inhibitors for a η-secretase-like protease acting on Notch of arthrosynovial cells as its substrate; remedies for rheumatoid arthritis containing the same as the active ingredient; and a method of inhibiting the proliferation of arthrosynovial cells. The inhibitors for a η-secretase-like protease acting on Notch of arthrosynovial cells as its substrate contain as the active ingredient compounds represented by the following general formulae (I) and (II) wherein P2 represents L-isoleucine, D-valine or L-valine; P3 represents L-valine or L-phenylalanine; P4 represents L-isoleucine; P5 represents a direct bond, L-valine or L-phenylalanine; R represents methyl or isopropyl; and Pg?1 and Pg2¿ represent each a protective group.</p> |
