The invention discloses a new kind of human peroxidosome assembly factor 10 and the polynucleotide encoding said polypeptide and a process for producing the polypeptide by recombinant methods. It also discloses the method of applying the polypeptide for the treatment of various kinds of diseases, such as Zellweger syndrome, infant suprarenal leukodystrophy, infant neurogenic or genetic incoordination, pipecolic acid supervacuus acid disease, other embryonic development diseases, metabolism disorders, different kinds of tumor, inflammation, immune diseases, HIV infection. The antagonist of the polypeptide and therapeutic use of the same is also disclosed. In addition, it refers to the use of polynucleotide encoding said human peroxidosome assembly factor 10.
