The invention relates to a method for inserting an optical waveguide (1) with its one end into a ferrule (2) and preliminarily positioning it in such a manner that the end of the optical waveguide somewhat projects beyond the free end of the ferrule (2). The ferrule (2) with the optical waveguide (1) is then placed in a fixation tray (3) and is fixated therein, the optical waveguide (1) remaining preliminarily positioned as described above in the ferrule (2) itself. In this position, it is fixated so strongly by means of suitable fasteners that it cannot get out of place without any intervention from outside. The equipped fixation tray (3) is inserted in the fixation device in the crimp or gluing device, the ferrule (2) being positioned on a stop on an adjusting device (4). Once the equipped ferrule (2) is positioned, a positioning pin (42) is pushed against the end of the optical waveguide in the ferrule, the positioning pin (42) thereby pushing the end of the optical waveguide (1) back into a predetermined final position. |
