PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combined treatment device for treating domestic wastewater by making effective use of the existing single septic tank (device) inexpensively than in the case of purchasing a new combined treatment tank while solving the problem to scrap the existing single septic tank. SOLUTION: The combined treatment of excreta and domestic wastewater can be carried out by making good use of the existing single septic tank 1 (device) and connecting the tank 1 to a second purification device 15. The device 15 has an aerobic treatment part consisting of a contact aeration tank 16, a settling tank 17 and the like and is connected to the tank 1 by a pipeline 25. Anaerobic treatment is carried out in the tank 1 by stopping air supply to the aerobic treatment part 22 of the tank 1. The wastewater just before it flows into a sterilizing chamber 24 is made to flow into the aerobic treatment part of the device 15. The wastewater aerobically-treated in the aerobic treatment part is returned to the chamber 24 of the tank 1 through a return pipe 26. The cleaned wastewater is discharged to the outside from an outflow port 12 of the tank 1.
