PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of an artificial marble capable of improving impact resistant strength of the artificial marble, eliminating need for providing a reinforcing plate or the like on a product formed from the artificial marble, capable of attaining thinning and lightweight of the product and enhancing transparency to improve external appearance. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the artificial marble a resin composition containing a resin component comprising a thermosetting resin and a filler is obtained to be molded and cured. The resin component containing butyral resin is used. The artificial marble having excellent impact strength can be manufactured, a wooden reinforcing plate, an FRP reinforcing layer or the like is formed on the rear face of the artificial marble, strength need not be filled, and high impact resistance can be displayed. |
