PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body assembling device making it possible to easily and surely confirm the accuracy of assembling vehicle body members within an assembling jig. SOLUTION: This vehicle body assembling device positions previously press molded vehicle body members 101 by means of a regulating plate 11 and combines the members to assemble a vehicle body. The end face 12 of the regulating plate 11 functions as a position checking part for visually checking its position relative to the flange 101a of each vehicle body member 101. While the vehicle body members 101 are positioned by the regulating plate 11 and vehicle body members 103 and 104 are being combined, the relative positions of the flange 101a of the vehicle body member 101 and the end face 12 of the regulating plate 11 are visually checked to determine whether or not the vehicle body member 101 has moved relative to the regulating plate 11, to thereby visually check variations in assembling accuracy within the assembling jig.
