A dust and waterproof light fitting has a sealed housing provided with at least one ventilating opening which is closed or opened by thermal control. The fitting 1 is closed by a pane 9 and is provided with openings 2 at opposite ends, shielded by rainwater hoods 10. The left-hand opening is fitted with a valve 4 caused by a two-armed lever 3 controlled by a bimetal switch 5. The right-hand opening is fitted with a valve 6 operated by an electromagnet 7 controlled by a bimetal switch 8. In both cases, the switches operate the valves to admit air to the fitting when the internal temperature reaches the maximum permissible valve, and to close the openings when the temperature falls. |
