PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide am ashtray device capable of reducing a discomfort and a burden in ashtray cleaning operation by detaching and attaching an ashtray by merely pulling or pushing rather strongly even if a hand does not touch the contaminated hook of a leaf spring used also as a cigarette stubbing-out part in cleaning the ashtray. SOLUTION: This ashtray device is formed so that an ashtray 2 is openable relative to a retainer 3, and comprises a hook 4 formed of a leaf spring 11 as one example of an elastic body, having one end 11a thereof fixed to an engagement block 10 preventing an ashtray 2 from being dropped down by the engagement thereof with the engagement part 3i of a retainer 3 when the ashtray 2 is fully opened and having the other end 11b fixed to the ashtray 2. The engagement block 10 is formed in a trapezoidal shape in cross section so that a first tilted surface 10a on the outside is opposed to a second tilted surface 10b on the inside so as to downwardly increase the width of the engagement block 10 in order to form the tilt angleθ2 of the second tilted surface 10b smaller than thatθ1 of the first tilted surface 10a.
