PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for fixing a rim for a wheel applicable to a spoke type bicycle with a tubeless tire and the spoke of the wheel. SOLUTION: The rim for the wheel of the spoke type bicycle is provided with continuous outer peripheral wall 2 and the inner peripheral wall 3 interconnected each other with two side walls 4 and 5 without a hole and an opening part, a support 7 for a plurality of nipples N for tightening a spoke R. Each of the nipple support 7 is nearly arranged within the radial plane including the axis of the rim, comprising a bridge type bracket having two opposed terminal parts 7a connected to the rim and a central part 7b having an opening part 7c. The edge part of the opening part 7c plays a role of a supporting sheet for a head part of each nipple N designed so as to be inserted into the opening part.
