PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting body for a lithographic printing plate which is excellent in the surface roughening efficiency in an electrochemical surface roughening treatment, and at the same time, excellent in printing-durability, and holds those properties even after the plate surface is wiped with a plate cleaner liquid. SOLUTION: For this supporting body for a lithographic printing plate, a surface roughening treatment including the electrochemical surface roughening treatment is applied on an aluminum alloy sheet. In this case, the aluminum alloy sheet contains 0.2 to 0.5 mass % of Fe, 0.04 to 0.20 mass % of Si, 0.005 to 0.040 mass % of Cu, 0.010 to 0.040 mass % of Ti, and 0.001 to 0.00 mass % of Mg, and also, contains one kind or more of elements selected from In, Pb, Sn, Bi, Cr, Mn and Zn by a total of 0.001 to 0.05 mass %, the remaining part of which comprises Al and an unavoidable impurity. |
