<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for crushing a vitreous object quickly and economically and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: Since the vitreous object 18 is arranged in a microwave field 4, the object 18 is crushed by generated thermal stress. In addition, energy which is local plasma 20 and to be thermal stress is generated on the surface of the object 18. Since the object 18 to be crushed does not contact a crushing means such as a roller, crushed glass pieces 22 are prevented from being contaminated with the abraded particles of the crushing means. The plasma 20 can crush the object quickly and economically.</p> |
