PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material equipped with an excellent protective layer wherein durability (water-resistance, fat and oil-resistance) at a higher level than a conventional product is provided, the coloring sensitivity and the running stability are excellent, and also, a high surface gloss can be imparted; and also, provide an emulsion used for the heat-sensitive recording material. SOLUTION: This emulsion for heat-sensitive recording material is used as a resin component of the protective layer of a heat-sensitive recording material. In such an emulsion for heat-sensitive recording material, a copolymer resin (A) which is obtained by polymerizing (a) methacrylamide and (b) a vinyl monomer having a carboxylic group is substantially dispersed on the surface of a resin particle (B) which is obtained by polymerizing (c) a vinyl monomer. |
