<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with harassment to a vehicle or the like which differs from the theft of the vehicle, such as throwing stones to the vehicle from afar, and fully deal with malfunctions, such as detecting even vibrations caused by other vehicles or the like passing nearby. SOLUTION: This apparatus includes a vibration sensor 1 outputting a vibration detection signal on detecting vibration applied to a vehicle or the like, a transmission circuit 3 outputting a theft detection signal based on the vibration detection signal outputted from the vibration sensor 1, a human body sensor 2 outputting a human body detection signal on detecting the approach of a human to the vehicle or the like, and a control part 4 for controlling the operation of the sensors and the circuit. Normally, the control part 4 sets the detection sensitivity of the vibration sensor 1 at a low level; on receiving the human body detection signal outputted from the human body sensor 2 when the sensitivity is set at the low level, the control part changes the detection sensitivity of the vibration sensor 1 so that it is set at a higher level.</p> |
