PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which a stable operation of a furnace can be performed without needing an energy not less than that to be necessary, nor lowering the productivity not less than that, even in the case of largely altering the conditions, such as raw material quality and fuel quality. SOLUTION: In the production method of a reduced metal which is obtained by heating and reducing raw material containing metal-containing material with solid reducing agent in a reducing furnace, the states of the raw material during the heating and reduction are measured, and the heating and reducing conditions are altered and adjusted based on these measured results.
