Reversibly linking a specific binding substance (I), e.g. a receptor present in a cell membrane fragment, to a sensor surface by connecting (I) to a coupling substance (II) that binds specifically and reversibly to an antibody (Ab) attached to the sensor surface. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) sensor that is reversibly coupled, by the new method, to a natural receptor (NR); and (2) (i) determining specific binding between an NR and ligand, (ii) identifying a ligand specific for NR or (iii) isolating a ligand specific for NR from a mixture, using the sensor of (a).
