PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge skew from the result of printing on paper. SOLUTION: In a paper feed method for feeding the paper fed by a paper feed roller to a recording part by a feed roller, an ordinary paper feed mode for applying ordinary printing to the paper and a skew evaluating paper feed mode for performing test printing for evaluating skew without removing the skew of the paper are provided so as to be capable of being selected respectively. A paper feed speed is increased regardless of the kind of paper in the test printing mode (step 212) and the paper is fed without removing skew (step 213) and, after cueing (step 211), test printing is performed. |
