PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting worm that can be profiled on a cutting device and can improve cutting accuracy. SOLUTION: A cutting tool comprises a cutting worm flange 2 and the cutting worm 9 for continuous-generation gear cutting of a gear, and the flange 2 has conic faying surfaces 5 and 6 for play-free connection to a cutting spindle 1. The flange 2 has an outwardly gradually coning faying surface 8. The cutting worm 9 with a mating conic bore 10 is mounted on the faying surface and then fixedly coupled to the flange 2. The cutting worm 9 comprises an inner support ring 23 and a cutting member 24 fixedly coupled thereto, and the support ring 23 is greater than the cutting member 24 in deformation resistance. The cutting worm 9 is thus reduced in centrifugal displacement and deformation.
