PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travelling direction changing device for a strip material, capable of improving various problems on a conventional travelling direction changing device for a strip material. SOLUTION: This travelling direction changing device for a strip material comprises number of endless belts 15 cylindrically arranged, belt driving means 16 for driving a number of endless belts 15, a supporting member 14 having rotating shafts 25, 26 at a central portion for cylindrically supporting a number of endless belts 15, and a rotation driving source 17 for rotating a number for endless belts 15 together with the supporting member 14. A number of endless belts 15 are moved in synchronization with the axial moving component of the strip material 33 and the number of endless belts 15 are rotated in synchronization with the peripheral moving component of the strip material 33.
