PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition having high frothing property, cleaning performance and foam quality and giving low irritation to the human skin. SOLUTION: The detergent composition contains the 1st component expressed by C12H25NH(CH2)2COONa and the 2nd component expressed by C12H25O(CH2 CH2O)nSO3Na ((n) is average addition molar number of ethylene oxide and is 1-6). The 2nd component is a mixture containing a plurality of molecular species having different ethylene oxide addition numbers. The addition molar number of the most frequent molecular species nA is a positive integer and the ratio of molecular species having an ethylene oxide addition molar number of (nA-1) to (nA+1) is 55-75 wt.%.
