PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject driving unit designed to prevent noise produced in the turning movement of a roller unit inserted into the U-shaped receiving groove on a receiving metal furnished on a reaping blade unit superposed on the upper side of a blade-receiving unit and subject to left and right movement. SOLUTION: This reaping blade driving unit has such a scheme that a roller unit 11 inserted into the receiving groove on the receiving metal of a reaping blade unit superposed on the upper side of a blade-receiving unit is rotatably axially supported by a support shaft 12, and by turning a support metal 13 supporting the above support shaft 12, the roller unit 11 works so as to reap grain culms by transversely moving the reaping blade unit. The roller unit 11 has such a construction that an inner roller 9 made of iron material is integrated with an outer roller 10 made of elastic material.
