PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for spraying a chemical under the floor of a building by which operations in the building are not required, operations such as pretreatment or posttreatment in the interior of the building or operations to carry machine parts into the building, etc., as in a conventional method are not required, operating steps or time can remarkably be reduced to perform the operations at a low cost, the safety is high because the carrying in of toxic chemicals is not required, the presence of inhabitants is not required and there is no trouble on the side of the inhabitants. SOLUTION: One or more of plural ventilating holes 2 under the floor installed on a foundation base 1 of the building A are utilized and a chemical spraying apparatus 3 is inserted and arranged in a space 4 under the floor. The ventilating holes 2A for insertion where the chemical spraying apparatus 3 is inserted is closed and the ventilating holes 2 under the floor other than the ventilating hole 2A for the insertion are closed to spray an insecticide from the chemical spraying apparatus 3 in the interior of the space 4 under the floor.
