METHOD FOR PRODUCING SPHEROICAL GRAPHITE CAST IRON PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method of a spheroidal graphite cast iron product in which a flake graphite cast iron structure can be formed in at least a part of the surface of the spheroidal graphite cast iron product when the casting is performed. SOLUTION: Powdery iron sulfide is blended into either molding sand of a master mold 2 or a core 3 in the mod, and the iron sulfide is reacted with magnesium in the molten cast iron on the boundary of the mold at the portion blended with this iron sulfide and the magnesium having the graphite spheroidizing action, is consumed and the flake graphite is crystallized in this portion so as to form the flake graphite cast iron structure excellent in the wear resistance and the vibration damping property on the surface layer of the spheroidal graphite cast iron product.
