A screwdriver attachment comprises a coupling 3 for insertion in a drill chuck, balls 8 carried by the coupling, and engaging with slots 9 in a sleeve 5, a spring urged housing 11, having a conical end 10 bearing against the balls, and a clamping device 1 screwed on to coupling 3 and surrounding sleeve 5. A thrust pin 15 is fitted into device 1 and is held in a longitudinal slit 13 in housing 11, and also in a groove 14 in coupling 3. An insertable screwdriver 6 is clamped with sleeve 5, by means of a pin 18, and is locked by a spring pressed ball 21. A screw centring sleeve 23 is axially displaceable in sleeve 5, and a scale 16 for indicating the torque setting of the attachment is provided.</p> |
