PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assorting system which can improve the energy efficiency in assorting by ingeniously utilizing articles' own weights. SOLUTION: The assorting system 1 has a feeding and transporting means 2 which transports the articles A from a feeding port 2a along an inclined transporting direction inclining downward toward a horizontal transporting direction and downstream side. This feeding and transporting means 2 is successively provided with an assorting and transporting means 3 for transporting the articles along the inclined transporting direction inclined downward toward the horizontal transporting direction and the downstream side toward an assorting box section 105 existing in a height position below the feeding port 2a. A control means 6 drops the articles A into the assorting box section 105 specified in accordance with the assorting destination information of the articles A.
